WHAT WILEY SAID ABOUT HIS GOAL
Wiley said: "It came off nice. Not used to scoring those. There was a similar play in the first half where it kind of came out to me. Thiago [Almada] played it into space and I took a touch and then took it, played it out of bounds to Tyler [Wolff]. But this time, I saw the chance to take my shot, take the opportunity to hit it, and it went in the back of the net, which was a nice feeling."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 63rd minute strike from 19-year-old Wiley, who debuted for the senior national team last April, put Atlanta 2-0 up in the game against the undefeated Philadelphia side. But it still wasn't enough to inflict a first MLS loss of 2024 on the Union, who fought back with goals from Mikael Uhre and Kai Wagner in the 73rd and 77th minutes respectively to tie the game.
