WHAT HAPPENED?
Garcia has been in top form this season for Espanyol, as the goalkeeper has played a major part in the Catalan side avoiding relegation to the Segunda. As such, Arsenal, Barcelona and Newcastle United have been fighting to sign the goalkeeper this summer, with his €25 million (£21m/$28.3m) release clause available until the last week of the summer transfer window.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo (h/t SportsWitness) has now reported that Manchester City have now entered the race to sign Garcia this summer. Guardiola is said to have had enough of injury-prone Ederson being the first-team starter in between the posts. The eight-time Premier League champions are also said to be interested in FC Porto's Diogo Costa.
